About Fabián Murillo

Fabián Murillo, is a photographer in Costa Rica, with over 2.000 events photographed. Enjoy equally photographing elopements, destination weddings, family vacations, engagements, corporate events, portraits, Bnai Mitzvah, LGBTI or any other kind of event.

Especially relevant, I am not a casual weekend photographer, I am not doing photography for extra income. Therefore I do not take my craft lightly.

When clients hire me they are insured to receive my professionalism, technical and artistic skill, and an intense desire to deliver the definitive record of one of the most special days in their lives. It is an assignment that I never take lightly. I often envision the cherished portrait –like the few I have of my own parents- and how important that will become with the passage of time.

What do I get?

You´ll get an unlimited number of digital photos. We only eliminate photos that are extremely unflattering, or where there are blinking eyes, mouths mid-sentence, or if we’re experimenting and something doesn’t turn out (like writing a sentence and erasing something). We also sometimes take five frames in a flurry if something is happening quickly. In this case, we would give you the best of a series so you don’t have a million photos that only change by a fraction of a second. But at the same time, we aren’t going to discard a photo just because we don’t deem it “artistic” enough.

In terms of copyright, you have the rights to make prints or photo products with the images. The only thing you can’t do is sell the images for a profit without permission (for instance, you can’t sell the image to an advertising agency to use in an ad campaign).

Does your photography services in Costa Rica include editing the photos before we get them?

Absolutely Yes. My photography services in Costa Rica include editing. All photos delivered to our clients are digitally retouched to achieve optimal skin tones, contrast, saturation and some minor photo retouching such as skin softening in close-ups when needed; however, to ensure you still look like yourself, we do not offer or recommend extreme photo alterations via Photoshop as part of our services. Additional photo editing can be purchased as an extra.

How long do we have to wait to get our full gallery of images?

Usually, it takes about 5 weeks to process the photos, but we will provide you with some sneak peek while you’re waiting for your images.

Your photographs are sent via Internet download (dropbox).

From the very beginning, he was absolutely amazing—helping me plan every detail and even pretending to be a tourist so my fiancée (now fiancée 😄) wouldn’t suspect a thing. And not only did he capture stunning photos of our ceremony and our guests, but he also planned and led us on an epic “wreck the dress” adventure hike to several waterfalls a couple days later — the photos are just incredible. Words can't do them justice. Fabian is a phenomenal communicator, extremely professional, and easy going. He speaks excellent English too, which made everything feel easy and seamless since we only know a little Spanish. Beyond that, he’s just a genuinely fun, kind, and hilarious person to be around. We decided we wanted to get married while we were there. I found a wedding officiant and he gave me Fabián’s name as a wedding photographer. From my first contact with Fabián, he was amazing. Sending me pictures of different locations to help me select the right place, he helped me find a florist and someone to do my hair and makeup. On our wedding day, Fabián went above and beyond.
