About Fabián Murillo

Fabián Murillo, is a photographer in Costa Rica, with over 2.000 events photographed. Enjoy equally photographing elopements, destination weddings, family vacations, engagements, corporate events, portraits, Bnai Mitzvah, LGBTI or any other kind of event.

Especially relevant, I am not a casual weekend photographer, I am not doing photography for extra income. Therefore I do not take my craft lightly.

When clients hire me they are insured to receive my professionalism, technical and artistic skill, and an intense desire to deliver the definitive record of one of the most special days in their lives. It is an assignment that I never take lightly.   Fabián went above and beyond to create a beautiful engagement ceremony for my now fiancé and I. I knew I wanted to propose in the beautiful cloud forests of Monteverde, but I wasn't sure exactly where to do so once I was there. Fabián had a great recommendation for a scenic and secluded spot that ended up being perfect. He checked in with me throughout the process, kept an eye on the weather, and was incognito as a bird-watcher up until the final moment when I proposed, at which point he was already snapping photos to capture the moment.

I'm very happy to have some incredible memories of this time, and know that we will come back to them again and again.

  Fabian was the most AMAZING photographer. He always went above and beyond for my husband and I as he helped coordinate floral arrangements, make-up artist, and even helped us find a location for our wedding after things went downhill. His skills are phenomenal, and we now have beautiful pictures of our special day to last us a lifetime!   Fabian was the most amazing photographer for our wedding proposal! He went out of his way to make sure we had every angle, every position, and had the best picture to capture such a perfect moment. I could not have been any happier with how detailed and thoughtful he was. All the pictures came out beautiful and much better than I could have imagined.   We connected with Fabian through our wedding officiant Noel Ibo. What a fantastic experience. Fabian coordinated our entire elopement schedule. We had our first look at our hotel Nayara Springs (highly rec), ceremony at the Arenal Volcano Observatory, and follow up photos at the La Fortuna waterfall. He knew all of great spots, angles, and poses. He sent about 400-500 photos for a 3 hour session which was incredible. Check his website out for photos!   Fabian was extremely helpful and friendly. I recommend him to anyone because he really goes above and beyond with getting you as many photos as possible.   I wanted to propose in Costa Rica and reached out to Fabian to take some photographs. He helped me plan the whole thing and had some amazing suggestions and ideas.   Fabian was absolutely fantastic! He did our wedding photography skillfully, cheerfully, and very professionally. He went above and beyond to make sure he shot a large variety of photographs; he also took us to different locations to get a variety of scenery/backgrounds as well. He was very friendly and personable which made it fun and easy to pose for our pictures.   Fabian did a wonderful job capturing photos of our family!  He worked with us to schedule locations that would be meaningful and fun, developed an immediate rapport with us and our kids, and struck a great balance between being flexible with our requests and knowing when to instruct us to pose, move, etc.  It's been several months since our photoshoot and we have printed several of his photos for display in our home.   Fabián went way above and beyond for our session.  We booked about 1week out.  He was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process!  We got a flat tire the morning of our session so we were an hour off schedule and he waited on us and was so very patient.  He told us to take our time and we were very discombobulated after the flat tire and the drive in but he calmed us and gave us an amazing experience.  He spent way more time with us than he needed plus he waited an extra hour because we were off schedule.

Fabián even pointed out animals and told us about things we were seeing like a guide for my kids.  I told him he need to include that with his services 😉!   The pictures he took we stunning and he got them back to us sooooo quickly. I recommend Fabián hands down best decision ever!!!!!

What do I get?

You´ll get an unlimited number of digital photos. We only eliminate photos that are extremely unflattering, or where there are blinking eyes, mouths mid-sentence, or if we’re experimenting and something doesn’t turn out (like writing a sentence and erasing something). We also sometimes take five frames in a flurry if something is happening quickly. In this case, we would give you the best of a series so you don’t have a million photos that only change by a fraction of a second. But at the same time, we aren’t going to discard a photo just because we don’t deem it “artistic” enough.

In terms of copyright, you have the rights to make prints or photo products with the images. The only thing you can’t do is sell the images for a profit without permission (for instance, you can’t sell the image to an advertising agency to use in an ad campaign).

Does your photography services in Costa Rica include editing the photos before we get them?

Absolutely Yes. My photography services in Costa Rica include editing. All photos delivered to our clients are digitally retouched to achieve optimal skin tones, contrast, saturation and some minor photo retouching such as skin softening in close-ups when needed; however, to ensure you still look like yourself, we do not offer or recommend extreme photo alterations via Photoshop as part of our services. Additional photo editing can be purchased as an extra.

How long do we have to wait to get our full gallery of images?

Usually, it takes about 5 weeks to process the photos, but we will provide you with some sneak peek while you’re waiting for your images.

Your photographs are sent via Internet download (dropbox).
